Hi!

I’m Jennifer, and I really love Sioux Falls.

 

I was born and raised in Aberdeen and couldn’t wait to leave for college. Like many 18-year-olds, I was sure the grass was greener elsewhere. While pursuing my bachelor’s degree at Minnesota State Mankato I really loved the opportunities a larger community offered - but my heart belonged in South Dakota.

After graduating, I moved to Sioux Falls. Like many others who have made this their permanent home, I appreciate the advantages a prosperous and growing city offers while also enjoying the small-town feel our neighborhoods provide.   

 

Service has always been an important part of my life. From going on mission trips with my church youth group as a teen to being a member of service organizations like Rotary and Lions, I have always believed in paying it forward.

 

I am running for the Sioux Falls City Council for that exact reason - to serve. I want to give back to the community and the people who have provided a great life for my family and me.
